We wanted to come to the Monterrey area and chose this park based on the great reviews on this site about KOA Moss Landing. The staff were very friendly and gave us a package with all the local restaurants that specialize in fresh seafood. We walked to Phil's Seafood Restaurant and had the whole Dungeness Crab ( 1.5 lb) for $21 and a bottle of wine for $11. We got to listen to Bluegrass music and enjoy one of best evenings. The park is about a 5 minutes walk from the beach and right in a small little town that has amazing food at a reasonable price. This is a KOA Express which I have never seen before. There are only back in sites but it is big rig friendly and there is lots of room to turn. If you do a KOA on-line reservation I would also phone the park and talk to them about the size of your rig. They are very helpful and will help get the right size pad for your rig. This is a great park in an area that has some of the most expensive real estate in the US so expect to pay a bit more.

This is an outstanding park that sits in a premium location in Palm Desert. We stayed here for 4 days to rendezvous with some traveling friends. The park was recently sold and they have increased their rates to about $80/night and about $1400/month. Is it worth the money? It is definitely a first class resort but in 5 hours we will be in Mesa and paying 1/3 that amount. If price is not an object then this resort is for you. In November their social schedule starts as is impressive. They have RV indoor storage units for long term rental. The clubhouse, pool, exercise room and grounds are all spectacular but nobody is here. It may be early in the season but some of the people I talked to were only staying a few nights and moving on to a cheaper park. We would stay here again but only for a couple of nights because of the price.

This is a well designed multilevel park built on the side of a hill in a very famous wine growing region. The approach is easy as you turn off 101 to Hwy 46. You turn left off 46 onto Airport Road but this means crossing 4 busy lanes of a divided highway without any lights. Be careful on this turn and I am sure in the future they will have to put traffic lights in. The park is huge and well designed for big rigs but has no directional signage for the internal roads. There are different types of sites for different prices which really means how much of a view you have off the hill. We stayed at the top in site 144 which backs onto Hwy 46 and got a lot of road noise. Pick the sites lower down by the registration building and you will have a good nights sleep. Ask about their wine tasting card. It is free and allows you free tasting at 5 different wineries all about 10 minutes from the RV park. We enjoyed out stay and would definitely come back here but stay away from the back sites.

We picked this park because of the high recommendations on this site and it is a winner. Level sites on concrete that are backed onto a river and away from the freeway with no trains. The park is immaculate and has easy access off I-5. Everything works well including Wi-Fi and good selection of cable TV channels. Staff is friendly and show you to your site. This will be a permanent stop for us when we come to Redding. They give a discount for cash. Good Sam Rate for credit card $38 but $35 for cash.

We changed our route at the last minute and needed to find a RV site before hitting I-5 in the morning. The KOA sign was a welcome sight. It wasn't very busy but quiet despite its proximity to the freeway. Just what weary travelers needed. It met all the KOA standards, clean, flat sites, full services, and friendly staff.

This is your typical KOA campground.Friendly staff,on-line reservation, and free internet that worked well and was fast. It is on Highway 101 so there is some road noise but it didn't seem to bother us. Sequim is 7 miles east of Port Angeles on highway 101 so it is close to the ferry for those traveling to Victoria.

We stayed here for 5 nights while attending a family reunion and really liked the park. The staff are friendly, the park immaculately kept, large big sites with lots of room for big rigs. It is a five minute walk to the ocean or 10 minutes to old downtown. There are connecting bike roads that will take you all the way around Ventura Harbor. This is a great park, and we would stay here again. It is situated next to Hwy 101 so try and get a spot at the back of the park or noise could be a problem. We had site 94 and it wasn't bad. No cable TV so you need a satellite. The laundry room was clean and reasonably priced machines. They have an on site bike rental and reasonably priced propane. Their winter rates of $50 and $60 for the summer are what you find in California. No weekly rates. We pretty much had the park to ourselves as it wasn't very busy in November.

This is a first class RV Resort on a 9 hole golf course. Astoria is a beautiful town which you should plan on staying 3-4 days to explore the surrounding area. We selected this park based on its great reviews on this site as we have never have been to Astoria as we work our way down the Oregon Coast. This is a new park designed for big rigs stopping to play golf or enjoy the local seafood. The sites are large and well designed. A bit expensive at $38 in October but well worth the money. We hope to come back when we can spend some more time.

This is a great park for and overnight stop on I-5. Take Exit 325 and you will see and RV Park sign on top of the gas station. The park is right there but lots of trees so it is quiet through the night.

Great Park with concrete pads and lots of grass. My Verizon Air Card didn't get reception and the Wi-Fi seemed slow so I didn't sign up for the $5/day. For a one night stop this park is a jewel. We would stay here again as we travel I-5

After traveling for one year in our 36 foot 5th wheel this is the first RV park we didn't stay at and canceled our reservation. I know the park very well as we live in the area and stayed there last year for 2 weeks. It is not big rig friendly. There are some spectacular water front sites overlooking Victoria Harbour but you have to book these months in advance. The sites in the middle of this small park are horrible as there is no room. I doubt I could have backed my rig in. If I did there would be about one foot clearance on each side. You would have to park your truck outside the park. If you had a small class C it might work but not for big rigs. It is built on a circle and last year we booked early and got a waterfront site which is on the outside circle. It is still tight and not big rig friendly.

We stayed here for one month while my mom had treatment at the cancer clinic. The park is large and Big Rig friendly. As they say in Real estate, everything is about Location. There are some very nice areas and some horrible ones. They have a lot of permanent sites with some older Rv's and multiple run down cars. The park is so large there are lots of choice. It is clean, well run and we found the staff to be friendly with easy access to the highway and close to Costco. They have big pull through sites for short term stay. If you want to stay longer I would drive around the park and choose the area. This park is usually full so a reservation is a must.

This is an average RV Park. They have wide spaces with concrete patios but the rest of the park is all gravel. It is just outside Lake Havasu and easy access. There are much nicer parks along the lake but stayed here on a friends recommendation.

This is a wonderful RV park in the town of Rockport. It has easy access off the highway and on arrival as you enter, there is a spectacular fountain where you stop to register. Your first impression of the park is good and it only gets better. There are lots of trees so after check in usually two people help you find your site. One of the nicest RV park we have stayed in. Lots of Winter Texans. Rockport is about 25 miles to Corpus Christi so if you want big city life it is close. We spent two days looking at RV resorts in the area for future long term stays and found Lagoons was the best. It is well managed and everyone very friendly. The weekly rate was $155 plus electricity.

Great RV Park close to downtown San Antonio. It is well run and has nice clean sites. Do not follow your GPS. Phone the park for directions. It is very easy to get to but your GPS will want to take you over a railway crossing that is not RV friendly.

Remember this is windy Texas. The park is great with very wide spaces. No trees or shade and the wind is usually blowing so hard you can not put your awning out. Make sure your air conditioner is working well. They honored our Passport America for $18/night. The park is full of winter Texans and there is a huge social schedule to keep you busy. The people are friendly and Harligen is central to the area. We talked to many RVers in the park and they all liked it and are coming back next year.

This is a basic park for a stop over. There is nothing there except for a gas station which is where you register for the RV park. PA rate is $10 for full services. My Air Card would not work so no internet for 2 days. The cable TV only got one channel. Be sure and check the weather before leaving as winds are a problem in this area. We had to stay an extra day because of a wind storm and were glad we did. If you have time go down to the Balmorhea as they have a huge swimming pool that is fed by underground springs. We missed this as we chose to drive in to Fort Stockton which was a waste of time. We met some interesting people at happy hour as the rigs were pulling off the highway in the storm.

We stayed in this park for 7 days. It is not in Destin nor is it on the beach. The park is across the road on Miramar Beach which is about 6 miles from Destin. It is a small park with concrete pads and patio. It is very clean and located close to lots of services. It is expensive and they charge $12 for a reservation and a $2 water surcharge. One week in February was $342.17 which included taxes, rent, reservation fee, and water surcharge. The beach across the road has a private access and is spectacular. This park is expensive but I think it is worth the money.

We stayed here one night in out 5th wheel and went to the Beau Rivage Casino for a unforgettable crab buffet. The park is in a great location between Casinos and across the street from wonderful beaches. The staff were friendly and helpful. My suggestions is to walk around the park and look at the site you want. There are a mixture of sand, gravel, and grassy sites. Lots of room for big rigs. I thought the price was a little steep at $38 but everything is new as they rebuild from all the hurricanes. These people are trying hard to make this work and would highly recommend this campground.

We stayed in a Premium Site for 3 days in our 5th wheel. We went there because of the award they got last year, being one of 3 top RV resorts in North America. I always wanted to stay in number one and see what made it so special. Rayford Crossing (RC) was outstanding and everything was great from the staff to the facilities. They were polishing the lawn furniture and barbecue at our site as we pulled in. We paid $50/night for a premium site but the monthly rates were very reasonable. They were not perfect as they forgot to pick the garbage up at my site one morning. I still gave them a 10. On the negative side, RC is about 30 miles north of Houston where 5 million people live who all drive cars. The traffic and freeways are a nightmare which makes getting around very difficult. If you have to go to this area then for sure stay at RC for a wonderful experience BUT be prepared for driving some of the most congested freeways in USA.

This is one of the best RV parks we have stayed at and would have given it a 10 but they don't have a laundromat. This park was rebuilt after the 2002 flood and is modern with large sites that can be accessed on either side of your concrete pad. Lots of room between sites and views on to the Guadalupe River. Their Web site doesn't do justice to this spectacular park. We stayed for a month at $295 which included power !!!! The New Braunfels area is about 25 miles north east of San Antonio and has lots of history. The Laundromat is on the old section and not usable but lots of choice in New Braunfel. Most of the RVs in this park are local people who come out for the weekend. This means it is very quiet through the week. The staff are friendly. Internet is spotty but my Verizon Air Card worked well. This park is a must stay at.

We stayed here in our 5th wheel for two nights and got a free pancake breakfast and Superbowl Party dinner. This is a great park that is clean, friendly and safe. Perry has a number of RV parks that look run down as does most of the town. RV'ers would use this as a stop on the way to another destination. I would not feel safe in some parks we passed by. This is a good time to use a well run KOA Campground.

Staying at this Casino was a horrible experience and not recommended. We phoned ahead and reserved a spot for $12 and they only have 8 sites that are not numbered. " Just pull in to an empty one and come in and register ". I was just going to unhook in site 5 when a guy with a truck camper drove up said I was in his spot which he had for 2 weeks. No way of knowing. The sites are just part of their regular parking lot that have an electrical service. No sewer, water or dumping station. If they were busy it would be difficult to maneuver around parked cars to get into these very small parking lanes they call RV sites. To make maters worse, the staff entrance was right next to the RV area which had people coming and going all night, some talking as loud as their loud cars. Yes- It gets worse!! There is a large bridge over Lake Charles and the Casino sits under it. The traffic noise is awful, but drowned out by the railway line that runs trains all night. Not to be totally negative, you can use all the Casino's facilities such as pool, spa, and weight room- which are impressive. There were lots of signs along the highway for First Class RV resorts associated with Casinos. This is NOT one and is only an electrical outlet in a cramped parking lot in a poor location.

This is a really great city run park. It is close to downtown, in a huge recreational park, and had a world class Christmas light display. The sites are not that level and are dirt. It is one of those parks that picking your site is probably a good idea but because it is so popular you should have reservations. We would definitely stay here again but NOT in site 50/51. I spoke to the campground manager, and it all comes down to city budgets. They are constantly upgrading so each year will be different.

This campground is a jewel and one of our favorites. Don't let the narrow approach roads worry you as it is BIG RIG friendly. Most of the sites are on a small pond that is stocked with fish. It is very quiet and NOT near freeways, airports, or train tracks.

It is a great full service RV Park with easy access off the highway and is big rig friendly with open grass sites. They recently joined Passport America so was pleased to pay $16/night. There is a large Shell gas station to fuel up one block away and it is very close to Savannah. The park was clean and the sites level. This is a good value park and would recommend it.

I would highly recommend this campground as good value and easy access off the highway. For good Internet stay in the sites behind the office ( Site 88-89 ). We could only see one central bathroom so if you are camping with someone like we were that had a tent trailer choose your sites around the office. Thy also have camping cabins. This is next to a major amusement park but was quiet on the Tuesday evening we stayed here. Might get noisy on the W/E. Just as nice as many KOA sites at half the price. It is Big Rig Friendly.

There is easy access from I-75, very friendly owners, and full service sites makes this RV park a gem. They even showed me to the site that was perfectly level. Our back window faces onto a pond, and the internet was free and fast along with free cable TV. They are Passport America so the price was great value. We would stay here again.

This is a very friendly campground that has grass sites that need some leveling. They didn't offer off season rates despite the pool being closed. It is under the approach to Bangor airport but air traffic was light and didn't bother us. It is quiet, clean, easy to get to and would stay there again.

This is a campground that has past its prime. We stayed there 2 weeks in our 5th wheel and found the staff consistently unfriendly and not interested in us. The sites were small, uneven, and the picnic table fell apart, as it looked about 20 years old. The laundromat was dirty and the machines in poor working order. It is close to Halifax and next to a very large shopping center which is handy. We were very disappointed in our stay.

This is a private campground and the owners are the friendliest people we have ever met. It rained the 3 days we were there which turned everything to MUD. The sites although fully serviced are pretty rough and need some gravel. It is a large campground so my suggestion is to have a look at your site before accepting it. I would definitely stay there again but wouldn't choose a wooded site.

We stayed 3 days in our 5th wheel. This has the potential for being a great camp ground as it is centrally located and easy access off the freeway. Problems: You can not make reservations and all the sewer sites are filled with permanent trades people. This leaves power/water and a pump out service that charges $15/ pump out!!! If you have a smaller rig and don't care about sewer there are a few sites on the hill overlooking St.John and harbor Spectacular View!!! Voiced my concerns to the campground manager and even sent a E-mail to the mayor ( No Answer). They should have 10 sites with sewer for transient- tourists.

This is an outstanding city owned campground in the very large Pippy Park. Reservations are a must as it gets very busy in the summer. It is centrally located in St.Johns which makes it an ideal location. The first two loops of sites are tight to get a RV over 30 feet in. I would ask to be put in the loop on the top of the hill. ( Not sure of the number). They use this area for caravans but the sites are open, flat, large and all pull through. WiFi has a strong signal and your satellite TV will work. These are the best sites and would ask for this area. We were in the first loop which was a struggle to get our 36' 5th wheel in and WiFi didn't work. It is heavily treed so satellite TV was impossible.

This is basically a farmers field next to a golf course. We have stayed here twice for three weeks as there really is not much option for full service sites in the area. I booked my site for May in February as it was important that I have those dates. They charged the full amount for three weeks to my credit card in February for my May reservation. This is ridiculous and my complaint fell on deaf ears. The sites are dirt with a little bit of gravel.. very muddy if it rains. No trees, just open farmland. It is close to the Anthony Henday freeway which makes it easy to move around Edmonton. If you like to golf it is close to about six courses. You need a reservation for July/August but other months should be OK. Remember if you make a reservation they will charge your credit card for the whole amount .. not just the first day !!

We stayed here for a week in early May. This park that had problems with its water supply, and sits next to a large hill which makes satellite TV difficult. The staff were friendly and the campground was clean. The sites are dirt and probably would get messy in the rain. I thought they should have off season rates. We would stay there again.
